Book 8 Summary and Analysis

"In Christ's Name Here Begins Book Eight" is what it says at the top of the first page here. Again, the story is told based upon the most prominent social political leaders of the day. As such, this history book is a bit like the top stories in the national and international news of the age. King Gunthram of the Gauls is in his 24th year as King. He makes a journey in order to retrieve Chilperic's son, who is being called Clothar.
