Chapters 12 and 13 Summary

Chapter 12: Parsley

Brigitte chops up parsley and puts it on practically everything. In France, there is a special little hand grinder for chopping and sprinkling parsley on food. Her mother sent Brigitte one when she told her how much she missed having one. That evening Lucky breaks one of the spokes on the parsley grinder. Brigitte decides to take it to Dot who has a small pliers that can fix it. Brigitte asks Lucky to look for her car keys in her bedroom. Lucky is worried when she spots Brigitte's suitcase sitting out. Brigitte finds her keys and leaves.

After Brigitte leaves, Lucky opens the suitcase and sitting right there on top of a stock of papers is Brigitte's passport. Lucky is now convinced that Brigitte is leaving. She now realizes that people don't get to use their Higher Power in...
