In Chapter 20: Things to Come, the prophet leads Nouriel to Ground Zero where he points out that America's progression of warnings and judgment will continue as long as the nation continues its descent away from God, calamity coming if they fail to heed His call. He reiterates that the fall of the World Trade Center foreshadowed the fall of American economic power as prophesied in Isaiah 9:10 which was followed by Isaiah 9:11 which foreshadows the beginning of the nation's destruction, ushered in by the proclamation of the vow. Israel's defiance led them to rise up against the Assyrian Empire, but when the Assyrians invaded to destroy Israel, their only hope lay in God's mercy.
