Summary

Liborio wakes up at 4:45 a.m. on the first day of his training. He begins by going out and watering all of the plants in the Bridge House garden. Then he goes to Wells Park for a morning jog. As he is stretching out he feels his joints creak. He starts running and finds the sensation of running just for the sake of it, as opposed to running from something, rather strange. He returns to the Bridge House and helps Mr. Abacuc organize donations they have received for the winter. Mr. Abacuc takes him into an old storage room where he has found a set of boxing equipment.
