Chapter 4 Summary and Analysis

Og had to go out of town for nearly a month. When he returned, he was in his office late one night when Simon and his dog, Lazarus, let themselves in. Simon looked at the pictures on the wall, suggesting that Og's boss must have been a ragpicker too. Og agreed, remembering how the man helped him when he needed it the most. Then Simon saw pictures of Og with some famous people, and commented on them. Og told him that he knew James Stewart, the actor, and that they had met in the service when they were assigned to the same B-24 group.
