Chapters 4-6 Summary

When Moiraine enters the Amyrlin Seat's chambers, she finds the chest of the Horn of Valere, which she had found in the Eye of the World, on the Amyrlin Seat's desk. The Amrylin Seat, a strong-willed woman named Siuan Sanches from Tear, tells Moiraine that Elayne, the daughter-heir of Queen Morgase of Caerlyn, who is being trained to use the One Power in Tar Valon, is strong, and that the sisters of the Red Ajah are grooming her to join them. The Aes Sedai divide themselves into sects, identified by the colors blue, red, white, green, brown, yellow, and gray. The sect of the Red Ajah is notorious for its hostility toward men, especially those that can channel. Moiraine tells the Amyrlin Seat that Egwene is just as strong as Elayne and that Nynaeve may be stronger than all of them...
