Summary

Chapter 13 starts as Cal wakes up in the middle of the night, and knowing something is wrong. He gets up and finds his Mom yelling into the phone, panicking. He opens the FlashFame app to learn there was a plane wreck near Cape Canaveral with five NASA employees, one dead and two injured. Cal’s Mom tells him his Dad is okay and NASA will tell them more later. His Mom tells him Grace and Mark were also on the flight, and Cal goes over to Leon’s house. As Cal runs there he hears Leon coming towards him and asks if his Dad is okay and they confirm both their parents are alive. Leon tells Cal that Mark Bannon died, and the story was always that Grace was going to pilot the ship, while Mark was the alternate. Cal realizes that his...
