Nobody 'Bod' Owens

Nobody Owens is a young man who has been raised in a graveyard. When Nobody was only eighteen months old, his family was killed and he wandered into a graveyard where he was granted Freedom of the Cemetery and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Owens. For this reason, Bod grows up playing with spirits and learning how to haunt the living. When Bod befriends a young, living girl, her family believes he is a figment of her imagination.

Nobody learns a great deal about the world of the cemetery, but does not know much about the living world in which he will one day live.
