Chapter 8, Partings and Leavings Summary

A short time after the deaths of the Jacks, Bod finds himself having trouble seeing the dead. Not only this, but Bod finds he can no longer move through stones and doors that he once could walk through without trouble. Bod goes to Silas and discovers that Silas has packed a bag for him. Silas gives Bod money, a passport, and clothing so that he might go into the living world. Bod does not want to leave, but admits he is excited by the idea of seeing the world.
