Summary

Chapter 12 takes place in Ryan’s room at his family home. Ryan and Karine have holed up in the room with food, since Ryan was caught with Dan Kane’s cocaine and was mandated to live at home until his trial. Ryan wants to go down on Karine, since he feel an uncomfortable lack of control when she goes down on him, but she only allows him to after much coaxing on his part. Afterward, Karine worries that Ryan will be sent to jail and is frustrated that Ryan is being punished for Dan Kane’s vices, but Ryan accepts his complicity, in both Dan Kane’s criminality and his father’s violence.
