Chapter 27: Wednesday, April 6

Blomkvist meets with Björck. Björck says he will give Blomkvist all the information he has on Zala if he is not named in the expose. Blomkvist immediately agrees, much to Björck's surprise. Blomkvist says, however, that if Björck is lying the agreement is null and void and Blomkvist will hang him out to dry.

The police arrive at Bjurman's cabin after receiving a report that shots had been fired. Police find Nieminen and Lundin. Police also find the papers left behind by Lisbeth. Nieminen and Lundin tell police that it is Lisbeth who had wounded them and had also stolen Lundin's Harley. Later, Lisbeth leaves the Harley at an amusement park.
