Summary

Megan – It is Thursday, March 7, 2013. Megan is with her unidentified male lover again, though she still feels hollow. She and the man joke about running away and living on the coast somewhere in another country. The next morning, Scott brings Megan coffee on their terrace, and before he goes to work, he tells her he loves her, which makes Megan feel horrible.

Rachel – It is Friday, July 19, 2013. Scott has not responded to Rachel’s e-mail. Rachel spends a lot of time contemplating what she can do to jog her memory from that Saturday night, and what she can do to get Scott to contact her. At the police station, Gaskill shows Rachel photographs of various men, and Rachel identifies one as the man kissing Megan. Gaskill will not tell Rachel who the man was, but as Rachel leaves the station, she sees Scott Hipwell...
