Spider Web

This 'web' is a reference to the Internet and the cybercrimes that are committed by a group of highly advanced hackers that are called the Spiders. The Spiders not only 'weave' their own webs to snare the unwary, but they also manage to capture additional information and resources on the street with their 'rescue' of the indigent and downtrodden.

Throughout the novel there are references to various comic book characters. Thanos, for example, is one of the ultimate villains in the Marvel Comic world. These references reinforce the theme of Good versus Evil, as it is very easy to delineate between those who are on the side of right, and those who are on the side of wrong.
