Summary

In Chapter 29, Eik and Louise go to interview Birte Holsted, the widow of the old Eliselund doctor, Ernst Holsted. Birte is very grumpy and dour, and says that Ernst hung himself in March of 1980 as suspicion began to build that Ernst had allowed a boy with pneumonia to die. After, Eik and Louise go to Ulla’s, the same bar where they had initially met. They drink together and ponder if there are connections between their case and Mik’s case.

Chapter 30 begins the next morning. Louise wakes up to a surprise phone call from Camilla. Camilla says that not only have herself and Frederik made up, but they are planning to get married that day.
