Eilan

Eilan, the heroine of The Forest House, is a passionate and intuitive young girl (and later woman). She is skilled at healing, understanding people, and communicating with the Goddess. Before she meets Gaius, she thinks that she might like to become a part of the Forest House; after she cannot marry him, it seems like the best option. However, she cannot control her love for him and when they meet again, at Beltane, she sleeps with him, becoming pregnant with their son, Gawen. She is a loving mother and becomes distraught when her grandfather tries to take her son away. Eventually, Caillean contrives a plan to keep the boy at the Forest House so Eilan can be near him.
