Summary

In Chapter 17, there is a press conference for the gun bust and everyone is happy. Malone leaves and meets up with Torres, wearing a wire. He gets Torres to admit to wanting to help DeVon get the guns, and Torres accepts a bribe from Malone for messing up his deal. Malone delivers the tape to the feds and then cries.

In Chapter 18, Malone calls Claudette and they go on a real date to a fancy French restaurant. She is clean and sober. They leave the restaurant and go to a jazz club, where everyone sees them together.

In Chapter 19, Malone wakes to Russo’s phone call. Russo says that Torres killed himself. Malone goes to the feds and finds out that they tried to turn Torres into a rat, but Torres decided to kill himself instead. Malone goes to...
