Summary

Laverna and Rachel ask if they can take Jake to the tournament in Missoula, but Bert and Krystal refuse in “The Tournament.” The Flood Girls bring Bucky along for moral support. In Missoula, the Flood Girls hit the town. Laverna learns that she loves tequila, and, later, she tells her problems to Athena, while Rachel and Bucky canoodle in a booth. The other Flood Girls meet men; Diane even smokes pot with a man she meets and later disappears. Laverna, drunk, sees Rachel flirting with Bucky and becomes enraged. She tells Rachel that she ruins “EVERYTHING!” (279). As Rachel and Laverna confront one another, Athena says, “This has needed to happen for a long time” (279).
