Summary

Jake finds fourteen baby-blue T-shirts in the ottoman of his sewing machine in “Wrinkles.” Buley also gives him an envelope full of iron-on numbers. He decides that the shirts are a sign that he should make the Flood Girls t-shirts for their season. Buley tells Jake that Bucky will drive him to the fabric store, and he does. After he makes his purchases, Jake heads to Rachel’s trailer, where he knocks and asks if he can iron in her house. He says that Bert does not like to watch him iron. Rachel does not have an ironing board, though, so Jake brings over the portable one he has. Rachel and Jake discuss their favorite books, and she tells him that Jackie Collins “isn’t exactly great literature, kid” (120).
