Chapter 36

Elayne finally tells Thom and Juilin about everything that happened in Tanchico, including how she and Nynaeve are hunting the Forsaken but on the run from Moghedien. She holds back only Birgitte's identity, though Thom guesses it. Birgitte awakens and Elayne tells her about the bonding.

Chapter 37

Valan Luca's circus performs outside of Samara. Nynaeve is watching Elayne and Juilin walk the tightrope from the crowd when she overhears a man with a Shienaran exclaiming over Elayne's beautiful. Nynaeve recognizes Uno, a man who traveled across the world with them and fought at the battle of Falme.

Chapter 38

When Uno recognizes Nynaeve, he leads her to town to see Masema, another Shienaran soldier who was with Rand at Falme and is now known as the Prophet. He is spreading tales of the end of the world and building a ragtag...
