Chapter 12
Gareth Bryne arrives in Lugard several days behind Siuan, Min, Leane and Logain. After getting a positive identification of Siuan he is told that his quarry left town heading west. Bryne tells his men they will pursue the women into Altara.
Chapter 13
Elayne, Nynaeve, Juilin and Thom have changed disguises. Elayne is now pretending to be a noblewoman, Nynaeve her maid, and Juilin and Thom her footmen. Outside a town named Sienda they are stopped by a man named Valan Luca, who operates a traveling circus that is camped nearby. He asks Elayne if she will become his patron, but she refuses and they press on into Sienda.
Chapter 14
Nynaeve meets with Birgitte, the hero from the Age of Legends in Tel'Aran'Rhoid. She asks Birgitte...
