Summary

In Chapter 63, while in the Ferris wheel cage, Melinda sees a van approaching from the distance. In Chapter 64, Phoebe tries to intimidate the Bear by claiming that she has called in armed government reinforcements. However, the Bear does not believe her. In Chapter 65, Melinda manages to slip out of her cage and begin to climb across the Ferris wheel. In Chapter 66, Phoebe suddenly feels a deep sense of sadness and isolation, wondering what will become of her life even if she does manage to escape from the Bears. In Chapter 67, Phoebe tries again to intimidate the Bear, claiming that a group of Rabbit reinforcements will arrive soon. The Bear remains unintimidated. Suddenly, Melinda sees the Heist is in one of the other Ferris wheel cages. Heist manages to slip out of his cage, like Melinda, and begin climbing across the Ferris wheel.
