Summary

Mae berates the Coordinators for losing Jane and tries to understand the legal implications of the situation, particularly if they are contractually obligated to inform Madame Deng. Talking with Hal, the head of security, Mae surmises that Jane has left to see Amalia. She tries to understand who could've helped Jane plan this, as the data from Panopticon and the email surveillance show nothing other than a marked increase in Jane's attempted contacts with Ate. Mae's contact from Legal tells her that if New York State considers the fetus "a person," Jane and Golden Oaks could be found guilty of kidnapping. Mae then arrives at Jane's apartment and is let in by Angel, where she waits for Jane.
