Meredith Oliver

Meredith Oliver is the daughter of Claire and Mark Oliver, and the younger sister of Evan Oliver. She is a self-involved eighth grader who is more concerned with her popularity than any other aspect of school. She believes that she is about in the middle of the popularity scale in her class but aspires to be among those who are popular.

Meredith’s life changes when she is in the Deli Barn when it is robbed. Her peer, Lisa Bellow, the most popular girl in the eighth-grade class is taken by the robber but Meredith is left behind. Meredith believes the robber took Lisa and not her because Lisa was simply better looking.
