Summary

In Chapter 8, Claire was striving to give Meredith the normality for which Meredith had asked when the police detectives showed up with books full of mugshots for Meredith to look through. Meredith did not recognize any of the faces. Claire was surprised when the detectives pulled out the yearbook from Parkway High School and had Meredith look at pictures of the boys in the senior class.

Claire was again shocked when the detectives told her that Lisa’s mother, Colleen, wanted to talk to her. The detectives thought it would comfort Colleen to be able to talk to Claire and to Meredith. When Colleen arrived, Claire was surprised by how normal she looked. She immediately asked to talk to Meredith.
