Part One: Moonrise: Chapters 3 to 5 Summary

Richard tells Hutch he will be going with her to Quraqua. First however, Richard lives up to his agreement by going to see Norman Caseway. Caseway tells Richard that if Ed had come to him, he would have explained there was no way he could change the current timetable for Quraqua. Richard tries to convey the great potential of information from the Temple of the Winds that will be lost if the scheduled melt of the ice caps occurs before they can finish, but Norman won't yield.
