Lupita Lopez was born in Mexico, but her family immigrated to Florida when she was young. Her father began working for the Goss family in exchange for payment and citizenship sponsorship. The Lopez family eventually moved to Connecticut to work for the Goss family there. Lupita was often bullied in school for being non-white. When she was a teenager, she and Floyd Howland developed a mutual attraction towards each other. However, their relationship ended quickly, after Floyd discovered that Jackie was pregnant.
