Love

Through the different relationships in this narrative, the author shows that love is complicated. A major complication revolves around the rules which deem who one is allowed to fall in love with. In the caste based society in which the narrative takes place, one should not fall in love with someone who is not in their caste. America has found herself in this situation with Aspen as he is from a lower class than hers.
