Summary

In Chapter 22, America goes to meet Aspen. They talk about all of the things that confuse her. He tells her that he feels as if he is going through his own selection. She tells him that he should not think of it like that, but then she does not want to talk about it anymore. They also discuss how he likes being a soldier even though he does not like Maxon and the way the country is run. They kiss and stay together for a while before going their separate ways. As she gets ready for bed, America thinks about the options for her future. She decides that she has to face whatever is coming because it was her choice to join the Selection.
