Summary

In Chapter 19, America and Kriss go to the other girls’ reception. When Kriss asks about the plan, America says they should be polite, but not helpful and to watch the queen and Silvia for clues. The other girls make errors and Silvia takes notes. Then it is time for America’s and Kriss’ reception. Before it begins, Kriss asks America whether she still wants Maxon, but Silvia comes in before America can answer. They give necklaces like the ones they are wearing to the queen and Silvia. Celeste finds fault with what they do and then the Italians come. Things go well and Elise compliments America on the work she and Kriss have done.
