Chapter 47-54 Summary

Chapter forty-seven begins with Wil realizing he can no longer see Amberle. He is looking at the Bloodfire when the Reaper enters the cavern behind them holding Wisp's lifeless body. Wil grabs the Elfstones but still cannot call upon their power. He tries and tries again to use them as the Reaper comes towards them. Wil suddenly realizes what is keeping the Stones from working is his own doubt. Wil is able to remove his own doubt through the words that Amberle and Allanon spoke to him, and begins fighting the Reaper. Wil thought that when he was able to call upon their power then the Reaper would be defeated, but he finds the Reaper is able to fight back and the battle between the two begins. Eretria and Drifter help Wil by distracting the Reaper while Wil calls forth the Stones' power. Drifter is hurt but Wil is finally...
