Chapter 8-13 Summary

In chapter eight Wil is summoned to come and talk to Allanon after he has healed and rested. Wil is surprised that he is called since he has never met Allanon before but goes. Flick warns Wil to not trust Allanon. Wil and Flick sit down to talk and Allanon asks Wil to go with him to the Westlands. Allanon explains that Wil's grandfather gave Wil three stones called the Elfstones. The Elfstones only can work by one with Elf blood, although Wil is only an eighth elf, and can only work by one they are freely given to. Flick demands to go in his stead but Allanon says that Flick is now to old to go. Wil is unsure about going since he has never tried to use the stones before. Allanon says that he is forced to stay behind...
