Summary

Karin and Mark continue to reminisce at the abandoned farm and he tells her that Daniel had approached him sexually when they were in high school which is what ended their friendship. Karin is incredulous at this statement but Mark remains firm. Mark is interested in Karin's work and she tells him about being at the Refuge and how hard Daniel works to keep it going. Mark does not want to hear anymore about Daniel because he feels that Daniel is at the heart of all his problems.
