Bianca Piper

Bianca Piper is the main character and is different from her friends. She is a larger girl and is considered a DUFF (designated ugly fat friend). Her best-friends are the stereotypical pretty girls and Bianca is a cynical, analytic, level-headed girl who is just into quiet nights with a book, unlike her friends who love to go out to clubs.

Bianca struggles with self image issues and an inability to talk to guys she's interested in. Bianca's home life is broken due to her mother never being home due to her self help lectures. Ironically, it is Bianca who needs the self help assistance. Her father is loving but tragically flawed due to his alcoholism.
