The Invitations Summary

Pale blue envelops begin appearing around campus. In the library, she sees Dean, Matthew, Alpha, and another boy named Callum all talking. Matthew tells her she should check her mailbox, and in it, Frankie discovers a pale blue envelope. She has been invited by Matthew Livingston to the golf course ten minutes after curfew on Saturday night.

The boys are members of the Bassets, a secret society that had prominent alumni.

The Invitations Analysis

Frankie is invited to a party being hosted by the Loyal Order of the Basset Hounds, an all-male secret society on campus. Matthew, specifically, has invited Frankie. She is thrilled by this. She has also taken her first real step into Matthew's world, beyond meeting his friends, because he has invited her to be a part of it.
