Summary

In Part II, Chapter 3, in school Jas learns about WWII, Hitler, and the Jews. She thinks all the food Mum brings to the basement means she must be hiding a Jewish family. During the lesson, Jas asks the teacher if Hitler cried for his sins, and gets scolded. She and Hitler share a birthday. The teacher then makes them write notes to Anne Frank. During the exercise, Jas's friend Belle asks why refuses to shed her coat. Others think it is because she cannot grow breasts.
