Summary

A Bit of a Mystery opens on Robbins Petavit coming to the Stone House to talk with Naomi. He reassures her that the Native American Gathering was not a failure, despite the undergraduate panel. Naomi confides in him about her stress about the Webster Dissent and Hannah’s general disappearance from her life. They become physically intimate but do not have sex, and then fall asleep together. They are woken up by a phone call from Peter Rudolph, the campus police officer, that Naomi was needed at a hospital morgue in Hartford, Connecticut to identify the body of someone believed to be a Webster student. Robbins drives her there, where Naomi identifies the body as that of Omar Khayal. The police officer present has Naomi describe all she knows about Omar. When...
