Summary

No One is Blaming You is the only chapter in Part IV: Fumble, and begins with Naomi learning that Gall had threatened, but in all likelihood did not intend to pursue, a major lawsuit against Webster for “wrongful termination” (231). This places Webster in a “state of suspended indictment” because they cannot explain the reason for Gall’s denial of tenure (232). Naomi then learns that Omar’s GPA is past the “cutoff for academic probation,” and so writes him an email saying to meet with her or risk being officially put on academic probation (234). Omar does not attend the meeting, but Naomi emails him again to set up one last possible meeting.
