Summary

The next diary entry is titled "Wednesday." Greg opens by describing the situation. He says the skunk's spray smells terrible, but being sprayed means you can also taste the smell, which Greg describes as rotten eggs. They have a book with a section about “deskunking” that calls for hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap in a tub of water, but they do not have those ingredients. They use ketchup and mustard but it does not help. The next day, they begin throwing almost everything out of their camper, including their food. Greg goes to the store for the things they need to “deskunk” and discovers people are rushing to buy everything on the shelves.
