Summary

The next diary entry is titled “Wednesday.” Greg's family shops for food. Then, they head to the camping superstore. He has been there before, but just to play. He chooses lots of “luxury” items like an inflatable sofa, but Dad makes him put them back. Dad chooses things like chairs and lanterns. Dad then decides to buy fishing gear, saying they will “live off the land” (26). Rodrick wants hunting gear, but Mom refuses. Mom was nervous with Dad's choices and asks the clerk for advice.
