Chapter 4 Summary

Mitch is going over the events that have lead him to this point. He got into a fight with his mother, his house has been destroyed and the members of the Justice League are badly hurt, some might die. Mitch can hear his mother calling him but he can't get to her and the baby because of the flames. Mitch knows the sirens that are coming are not going to reach them in time to save his mother. Mitch tries again to yell for Superman to help them. The other members of the Justice League try to get up but are so badly beaten they have trouble moving.

Superman realizes that no one will help the boy and his mother and he slowly leaves Doomsday to go back to help the family escape the inferno. When Superman has his back turned Doomsday jumps on him. Superman is once again...
