Chapter 2 Summary

The members of the Justice League, minus Superman, soon arrive at the location where the creature has been attacking and battle a blaze and save several lives. The creature is already gone. They soon get into their aircraft and go on the look for the monster. Once in the air the team can see a path through the woods where trees have been laid to waste. Bloodwynd and Maxima try to make telepathic contact with the creature. Maxima tells them that the creature is hate, death, and blood lust personified and nothing more. The creature soon spots them and hurls a full grown tree taking their craft to the ground. The crew is unhurt but are now on the ground and begin battling the monster at an oil refinery.

The monster grabs Guy Gardner and knocks him momentarily unconscious. Bloodwynd tries to stop...
