Summary

In Chapter 22, Nan and James’ daughter was born. They named her Louise and called her Lola. Nan’s faith was immediately restored. She was happy. Nan and James took Lola to meet Bip and Will. While Lily was admiring Lola, Annelise spoke up that Will had shown no reaction to the baby so she thought that meant he liked her.

When Nan met Lily’s eyes, she finally understood. While Nan would know everything about her child, Lily had no way of knowing what was going on in Will’s mind.
