Chapter Five and Chapter Six Summary

In Chapter Five, Bri suggests Mami hasn't called because she is in a hospital somewhere with amnesia. Alex doesn't have the heart to argue, so agrees that would be a blessed miracle. After a brief discussion about saints that Alex finds silly, he leaves the table, praying for the strength to continue caring for his sisters, even in times he doesn't care to do so.
