Importance: A group of MudWing dragonets have just been involved in their second fight, and they are clearly frightened and hate their involvement. Umber's comment serves two purposes. The first is that the group known as the dragonets of destiny (Clay, Tsunami, Starflight, Glory, and Sunny) are symbols of hope for all those who want the war to end. The comment also brings to surface an ongoing issue among these MudWings who only recently discovered that Clay was their nestmate and should have been the leader of their sibling group. That information has made Reed, the leader by default, worried about his role.
