Book 3, Pages 106-121 Summary

Batman takes Robin out for some training. Batman is strict about his rules and he threatens Robin with job termination if she disobeys his orders again. Meanwhile, Gordon retires and introduces his replacement, Ellen Yindel. As she steps forward, she says that she has an arrest warrant for Batman on charges of breaking and entering, assault and battery, and creating a public menace.

The Joker is getting ready for his release back into society. The day after he gets out, he is scheduled to make an appearance on a late night television talk show. Although Yindel protests this appearance, she is denied and the show will still go on. Clark Kent meets with Bruce so he can talk to him as he had promised the president he would.
