Summary

"The Story of Of" is a similar narrative to that of the first short story. It begins with Norma, who is again the first person narrator, arranging chicken bones on her plate at lunch. Her sister-in-law Damica and Damica’s baby is at lunch with Norma. Norma talks about things changing a bit each time. The waitress appears and Norma asks for walnuts, which prompts Damica to give her a doubting look. Norma and Damica eat lunch together every day, while they do not talk much, Norma enjoys them.
