Summary

Chapter 15

Greta’s brother, Carlisle, is coming to visit, and Greta wants him to meet Einar first instead of Lili. Einar agrees, but then ends up just putting his clothes on over Lili’s. He leaves the apartment and goes to the brothel, where he takes off his male clothing and sits there watching one of the women with a male customer. He starts to imitate her moves as Lili, and for the first time he feels pretty. He’s chased out of the brothel shortly afterwards, once again dressed as Einar. He realizes that he’s much happier as Lili than Einar, and he goes to the library to start researching gender identity and gender reassignment.
