Summary

Chapter 10

Lili and Einar continue to experience sporadic nosebleeds over the next few weeks. During this time, Greta insists that Lili comes out every day so she can draw her. Portraits of Lili are starting to sell, and Greta feels like she’s making it as an artist. She gets worried when she sees the nose bleeds are becoming more frequent, and that Einar is trying to hide them. She arranges a doctor's appointment for Einar, who doesn’t want to go. He eventually agrees, but he makes Greta first promise that there isn’t anything wrong with him.

Chapter 11

Einar takes the train to see the specialist, Dr. Hexler. He thinks about running off and not seeing the doctor, but he doesn’t want to disappoint Greta. The doctor reveals that he knows all about Lili and Einar dressing up. Einar admits...
