Maryland Private Hospital for Ladies and Gentlemen

The Maryland Private Hospital for Ladies and Gentlemen is the hospital where Benjamin Button is born. At the start of the short story, Roger Button races to the hospital, delighted by the prospect of meeting his new son. However, his unsettling encounter with Doctor Keene on the hospital steps unsettles Roger. Once inside, he is horrified when the nurses treat him in the same manner.
