Summary

At dinner, Madoc congratulates Jude on the tournament and tells her they will discuss her future once a new king is crowned. After dinner, Jude tells Taryn that her decisions about Cardan are to improve her own future. Taryn mocks Jude, before apologizing. Jude asks if Taryn has fallen in love, but is ignored. At lecture the next day, they learn about the stars and how different events mean different things. Cardan tells the professor that the lecture is boring and commands him to teach something else. Nicasia ridicules Jude’s handwriting and slaps her when Jude snaps back. Jude challenges Nicasia, as the later is not allowed to attack her in public. However, as seven stars fall in the sky, Valeria shoves an enchanted apple in Jude’s mouth that takes away any control she has over herself. Be begins choking...
